Kickoff shows you when your teams play. It has no ads, no tracking and no accounts you have to make. This page says exactly what is kept.
On your device
The teams, countries and players you follow, your timezone and your appearance setting are saved on your own device (in your browser on the website, in the app on iPhone and Mac). If you never sign in, that is all there is, and nothing about you reaches our server.
If you choose to sync
Signing in with Google keeps your followed teams on all your devices. We ask Google only to confirm that you are the same person, using the basic “openid” permission. We do not receive your email address, name or photo.
What we store is a one way hash of your Google user id, your list of followed teams, countries, players and leagues, and your settings: appearance (light, dark or automatic), timezone and, in the Apple apps, whether kickoff reminders are on. That is all. It lives in a Cloudflare database. We cannot turn the hash back into your Google account, and we cannot see who you are.
The country you pick at the top of the page, if you pick one, stays on your device and is never synced. Rows that have not been used for 12 months are deleted automatically.
Feedback and error reports
If you send feedback, we store your message, the type you chose, the platform (website, iPhone or Mac), the app version and a short description of your system. If you type an email address so we can reply, we store that too, and only that. Nothing else identifies you.
The apps and website also send anonymous error reports when something crashes or fails. A report holds the error text, the technical trace, the platform, the app version and the page name without anything after a question mark. It has no account, no IP address and no cookies, and identical problems are merged into one entry with a count. You can turn error reports off in the feedback box or in Settings. Feedback and reports are deleted after 180 days.
Deleting your data
In the website, open the cloud icon in the top right and choose “Delete my saved copy”. In the iPhone app it is in Settings, under Sync. In the Mac app it is in the gear menu. This removes your saved list from our server. Your devices keep their own copy. You can also email surya.dakshina@gmail.com and we will delete it for you.
Other things that happen when you use Kickoff
Country: our host reads the country of your connection to pick highlight videos that can play where you are. We use it for that request only and do not store it.
Highlights: videos are played by YouTube inside the page. YouTube may set its own cookies and collect its own data when you press play, under Google's privacy policy.
Hosting: the website is served by Vercel and the sync service runs on Cloudflare. Like any host, they handle your IP address to deliver pages and may keep short term technical logs. We do not use those logs to identify you.
Kickoff does not use advertising, analytics or tracking tools, and does not sell or share your data.
